To create and utilize a configurable discount that allows you to type the discount amount at the time of the sale follow the below instructions. This method only supports Dollar discounts.
Click on the Point of Sale icon to open the new pos
From the new POS click on the action bar icon to open more options.
Click on the Discounts section in the tool tray.
Click the plus button to create a new discount.
Name your discount and leave the amount blank. This method only supports Dollar discounts. Set any other info you may need.
When ready click the check button to save.
You can return to the POS by clicking the Checkout button.
When selling an item from the POS click the Apply Discount link.
You will see your configurable discount here. To utilize it click into the field and type your discount amount which will activate the line.
Toggle the discount and click the check button to apply it.
Add the item to the sale and proceed with the transactions
