Windows BusinessMind Workstation Memory Increase (note this can ONLY be done on computers running 64bit version of BusinessMind.)
Quit out of BusinessMind
Click on the Start menu
Right Click on Computer and choose properties
Locate how much RAM this computer has and make a note of it
Open C:\Program Files\DCIT\BusinessMind\
Here you will find a BusinessMind.vmoptions file. Open this file with Word Pad
You will find a line that looks like this
-Xmx1024m
Change the 1024 to be a number that correlates with the amount of ram the computer has then save and close the file and all windows

2 gigs of ram = 1024
4 gigs of ram = 2048
6 gigs of ram = 3072
8 gigs of ram = 4096
10 gigs or higher = 6144
Example: a computer has 4 gigs of ram so i modified this to be
-Xmx2048m

Mac BusinessMind Workstation Memory Increase (note: All macs are 64 bit so it can be done on any mac)
Quit out of BusinessMind
Click on the Apple menu
Choose about this mac
Locate how much Memory this computer has and make a note of it
Open the Application folder
Right click on the DCIT folder and select Get Info
Expand Sharing & Permissions:
Click the lock icon and enter your computer password
Make sure all Privileges are set to Read & Write for every Name in the list (including everyone)
Click the Gear icon and select Apply to enclosed items
Click the OK button
Open the DCIT folder
Open the BusinessMind folder
Here you will find a red BusinessMind icon.
Right click on this and choose Show Package Contents
Open Contents
Locate the vmoptions.txt file
Open this vmoptions.txt file with Text Edit
You will find a line that looks like this
-Xmx1024m
