To merge a contact into another contact follow the below instructions.
NOTE:  We recommend all users be logged out of BusinessMind when you are doing your merge. In addition we recommend you close all existing tabs before proceeding with the merge process.
Click on the Contacts link from the BusinessMind home page.
Select either All Contacts to view contacts entered as a person or All Organizations to view contacts marked as an organization.

Search for the contact record you want to merge (this is the secondary contact that will be merged into the master).

Select the contact to display the detail view.

Click on the gear icon and choose the Merge into Contact option which will display the merge contact page.

Search for the master contact you want to merge into by searching the name in the provided field and selecting it.

Once you have selected the master contact click the Merge button.
When the process completes, the screen will bring you to the master contact of the merge. The original contact you first selected will be gone. It's information will become part of the master contact you selected from the merge page.

  • Merging contacts can not be undone. This is a one way operation with no way back! You need to be sure!

  • Merging contacts is restricted by role. If you try to perform a merge and you get a message saying you are not permitted to merge, ask a member of your team who has the required role to authorize the merge for you.
